There are multiple ways to generate cryptographically secure keys but a cryptographic system is only as strong as the source of randomness that it employs and to generate pure randomness requires a naturally occurring physical phenomenon, which Real Random has been able to accomplish.
To further demonstrate our technology and considering a large proportion of data breaches and identity theft come from poor password hygiene we also built a secure password generation and management web application that uses our pure entropy to create unpredictable passwords, it’s cross-platform, easy to use, most importantly available for white label adoption.
The primary feature of cryptex is the unique method that we use for password generation. Currently, all random numbers in computing are what are referred to as pseudo-random numbers, meaning that they are not truly random because they are based on some arbitrary factor that could potentially be uncovered and used to replicate the conditions under which the number was generated.
This means that any password that is generated using a pseudo-random number as a seed could potentially be reverse engineered, leading to passwords that were thought to be secure falling into the wrong hands.
Our new technology we call Zentropy brings a physical means of random number generation into the digital sphere. When a user generates a Cryptex password, Cryptex makes a call to our proprietary Zentropy server to get a seed of truly random Zentropy. Cryptex then uses this seed to generate a password according to the parameters that were chosen by the user.
By using this unique approach to password generation, Real Random can guarantee that every password generated by Cryptex is truly random and impossible to reverse engineer.
